Our first corporate event was a meaningful milestone for Kitchen4us — and it couldn’t have been more special. We were invited by the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) and the Euvaldo Lodi Institute (FIRJAN IEL) to celebrate the closing of an intense immersion week focused on innovation and digital transition in industry.
We welcomed participants from Brazil and Portugal to a sensory experience in the form of finger food, crossing territories, traditions, and lusophone flavors.
Inspired by the book Portugal Gastronómico by Olga Cavaleiro, we created a journey showcasing the diversity of Portuguese products:
- Goat, cow, and sheep cheeses
- Traditional cured meats
- Seasonal olives and fruits
- Fish, preserves, and regional cornbreads
And from Brazilian cuisine, we brought a symbol of affection and memory: the cheese bread (pão de queijo) — an invitation to share, connect, and return to one’s roots.
More than a meal, it was an emotional and cultural farewell, where food became a bridge between territories, accents, and shared experiences throughout the week. A corporate event that was anything but formal — it was full of emotion, storytelling, and connection.
