Meet the People Who Already Walk With Us

These are the passionate professionals and projects that help give flavor, soul, and beauty to each Kitchen4us experience. And our community is always growing!

At Kitchen4us, believing in the power of community is part of who we are. We know that true value is created not in isolation, but through collaboration — by bringing together talents, stories, and skills that enrich every experience we offer.

Our events are never created alone. They come to life through the hands and hearts of many: local producers, artists, space owners, cooks and chefs, sommeliers, photographers, artisans, historians, tour guides… . Each person adds something unique to the table — literally — making every moment more flavorful, more meaningful, and more connected.

We value what is local, what is made with care, and what carries tradition. That’s why we build partnerships based on trust, creativity, and a shared purpose: to deliver experiences that leave a lasting impression.

If you have a space to share, a craft to offer, a story to tell, or a skill that aligns with our essence, we’d love to meet you. Let’s create something beautiful — together.

Alexandre Pereira

I’m a photographer, which means I live among clicks, cables, and flashes. I work with food, products, events, and people — and yes, I’ve made some recipes look sexier than plenty of selfies out there. I shoot for businesses in Porto and beyond, always focused on creating images that tell stories (and sell, too). My camera has survived parties, storms, and countless “just one more, I promise” requests. At the end of the day, I turn light into desire — and that, my friends, is almost alchemy. Where Kitchen4us serves affection, I capture memories.

Bárbara Marafona

Hello there, I’m Bárbara! My journey as a Pastry Chef has taken me from Porto to London, where I trained Patisserie at Le Cordon Bleu, and back home to broaden my horizons in Tourism Management at Porto Business School. Along the way, I’ve been lucky to work on a variety of projects, each one offering new perspectives on what pastisserie can mean. Collaborating with Kitchen4Us has been an amazing experience! I too believe food brings people together, yet desserts have the unique power to spark laughter and revive the sweetest memories.

Ana Maria Silva

I’m Ana Maria, I’m 74 years old, and I learned to cook as a little girl in the village of Santa Cruz da Trapa, by my mother’s side. I’m a mother of three children and a grandmother of five grandchildren. In our moments of rest, when we’re together—especially in the village—we grill, laugh, and share the table. More than 40 years ago, when I returned from South Africa, we started a small market. Later came the café, the snacks, and, of course, the kitchen. Since then, even after my husband passed away, I’ve continued alongside my son-in-law and my daughter, opening the doors every morning with the same dedication to serving something that warms the heart. I believe the secret to good food lies in the quality of the ingredients and in love. Because I know that as long as there are good products and hands that cook with care, the food will always taste good!”

Catarina Telles de Meneses

I’m Catarina, a sommelier and tour guide in Porto, where I share my passion for Portuguese culture through wines, flavors, and stories. I believe every glass and every dish reveals something about the place and the people who live there. With my background and a special dedication to human connection, I create authentic experiences that celebrate Portugal’s wine and gastronomic heritage.

Inês Diniz

I'm Inês, from Casa Inês (Time Out Porto), and for as long as I can remember, the kitchen has been my place of connection with the world. I grew up surrounded by aromas, conversations, and stories shared around the table — learning early on that cooking is, above all, an act of care. My training began at home, in the heart of my family, where knowledge and tradition were passed down from generation to generation. Along the way, I turned this heritage into a purpose: to preserve authentic flavors, honor each ingredient, and welcome every guest as if they were entering my own home. I love using food as a bridge between people, creating memories that linger long after the meal is over. Here, I cook to nourish — but also to connect, inspire, and celebrate every encounter.

Olga Cavaleiro

“Through my travels, I discovered a gastronomic Portugal full of culinary accents, where the table bears the marks of geography and becomes the meeting point of a history of both hunger and abundance”. I’m a sociologist and gastronomy researcher with a passion for Portuguese culinary traditions, especially the regional kitchens and the stories behind each recipe. I studied Sociology and later earned a master’s in Food, Sources, Culture, and Society at the University of Coimbra. I’ve written several books that map the traditional flavors of Portugal, and I also teach History and Culture of Gastronomy at the University of Porto and in hospitality schools. My book Recipes That Tell Stories – Gastronomy and Wines of the Historic Villages of Portugal was honored as the Best Portuguese Cuisine Book in the World at the 2025 Gourmand World Cookbook Awards.

Rita França

Hi! I’m Rita. I was born in 1992 in the charming city of Porto, and since I was little, I’ve always had a passion for photography. I studied Photography at Soares dos Reis Artistic Secondary School and later earned my degree in Photography at the Escola Superior Artística do Porto. In 2015, I interned at the newsroom of the newspaper Público from April to June, where I truly learned how to tell stories through the lens. I’m currently a freelance photographer and collaborate with Kitchen4us to create authentic, flavorful memories through images.
