At the Table with… Conversations that Connect – Women Talks

A new Kitchen4us project: sharing, listening, and creating connections

On October 30th, Kitchen4us launched a new cycle:
“At the Table with… Conversations that Connect – Women Talks,” a project born from the desire to be present, to listen, and to share.

This gathering marks only the beginning of something greater: a movement that celebrates sharing and connection around the table — where every conversation becomes nourishment for the soul.

Because everything begins at the table. 💚

🌸 Our guest: Rita Marques

The first edition featured Rita Marques, who showed us something deeper — that what truly moves her is an immense desire to LIVE
With unique sensitivity, she shared her story and a touching dedication to her twin sister:
“Half of my heart lives outside of me…”

In her words, we could feel her generosity, her strength wrapped in gentleness, and her genuine curiosity about others — about all the journeys represented in that room. 💚

🥣 Flavors that warmed body and soul

The evening was accompanied by dishes prepared with care:
a carrot cream soup scented with red curry paste and coconut milk, followed by a cured pork loin sandwich with homemade basil and cashew pesto.
Regional Alentejo wines, selected by sommelier @CatarinaMeneses, paired beautifully with the menu.

☕ To close the night,  a cup of coffee with cornmeal bread stuffed with guava paste — a special touch of Minas Gerais state, but lovingly made by a “girl” from São Paulo. ✨

🧡 The most requested recipe: Thai Carrot Soup

**Ingredients (serves 2):**
– 4 large carrots, sliced thick
– ½ medium white onion, cut into chunks
– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
– 1 teaspoon red curry paste
– 1 medium ladle of coconut milk
– Hot water, as needed
– 2 teaspoons pumpkin seeds
– Salt, to taste

**Method:**
Sauté the onion in butter with a pinch of salt, then add the carrots and curry paste.
Pour in the coconut milk and enough hot water to cover.
Cook until the carrots are tender, then blend until smooth.
Adjust the texture with a little hot water, season with salt, and add more coconut milk if desired.
Serve with a drizzle of coconut milk and roasted pumpkin seeds with coarse salt.

✨ Simple, aromatic, and perfect to accompany meaningful conversations.
